Description
RAF Pall bearers with the coffin of Warrant Officer Harry Coates is put to rest in Italy. Warrant officer Coates was serving with 111 Squadron when he died on 5th March 1945. He was involved in bombing barges on a canal in Cavarzere, Italy when his Spitfire was hit by flak. The wreckage with Coates was found in 1917 and after his identity was confirmed arrangements made for his Burial.
