British D Day veterans are presented with the Legion d honneur by the French Ambassador to the UK , Sylvie Bermann. Since 2014 more than 4300 of the medals have been awarded to British World War 2 veterans. Pictured is Donald Raymond Evans, 92 from Romford, who was a private in the 36 Port Ammunition Detachment.
